Therefore, I typically recommend starting with smaller monthly SIPs of Rs. 5,000 or modest lump-sum investments. I’m happy to say that in both my mutual fund and term insurance business, I have never pressured clients to invest hastily. I always ask them to take their time, think and take decision. Some eventually invest online, and it hurts me but life goes on.

How it Started?
I was working in an IT organization until 2021. In May 2021, after my Father passed away, I started to focus in financial domain as he always wanted me to save for my future. Initially, I started as health insurance advisor. I did not like to do it as business and hence realized people wanted someone who recommends a health insurance product based on their health status without any bias.
I issue term insurance myself and also love creating term insurance awareness. Eventually, people started using my services before and after they bought insurance products.
I have been doing financial consulting for the past 2 years through VenkatFin.com. As a part of my financial consulting services, I was also suggesting mutual funds for a few of my clients. Gradually, I realized the market was mixed. Some people prefer doing mutual funds on a regular basis through me, and some invest directly. Those who invest directly were also asking me to review their investments.
So, today, I am doing mutual funds in regular for my clients and also doing reviews of mutual fund investments people do in direct for a consulting fee. No matter what AI tools are available, people still believe in personal advice.
Every AMC is launching their own platform, encouraging people to invest directly, and I honestly believe the scope of genuine mutual fund distributors is diminishing. People who seek my paid consulting services do so because they trust me. I believed it is important to offer them genuine, transparent, and honest advice.
